Jiayun (Jenny) Feng is a Brooklyn-based journalist, writer, and editor. She previously served as Society and Culture Editor at The China Project, an independently funded English-language online publication dedicated to covering China in depth for Western audiences.
During her time at The China Project, which is formerly known as SupChina, she wrote more than 1300 editorial pieces, including breaking news articles, long-form feature stories, and well-researched explainers. She was the creator and author of The China Vibe, a weekly-turned-daily newsletter aggregating human-centric stories about Chinese society and highlighting her personal commentaries on topical issues.
Born in China and partly educated in the U.S., she writes bilingually and has covered a wide array of topics from geopolitics to business, lifestyle, social issues, and more. With a special interest in reporting on China-related issues with a global perspective, she is always looking for creative ways to produce engaging stories that resonate beyond borders.
